India vs England
Day 1 was ended with India being ahead on this game but the beauty of Test cricket is something else.India still very much in a position of strength in this Test. They still have 245 runs in the bank.
Day 2 first session was won by England .in very first over well settled Kl Rahul caught out in front of cover. Oly Robinson takes the wicket. In next over Ajinka Rahane was dismissed by Anderson in his first ball of spell.
But the hosts have fought back today in a bid to regain some lost ground. From 276/3, India would've fancied 400 at least but England kept them to 364 with Anderson taking a five-for and the support cast making their presence felt. Robinson and wood takes two wicket each.
Facing a formidable score, England were rocked early as they lost two quick wickets with Mohammed Siraj striking off consecutive deliveries. But the partnership between Joe Root and Rory Burns would've given the dressing room some assurance.
The pitch has settled down significantly, and batting does look a lot easier. But that's not to say the threat isn't there. India's four-man pace attack will keep coming, as Shami showed late in the day to trap Burns. India's batsmen had some breathing room once they saw off Anderson and Robinson. There won't be similar let-ups for England. And there's some turn for Jadeja too.
